Adding to their portfolio of Caribbean work, EA were commissioned by Peter De Savary in 2006 to masterplan a new village and resort community on the Caribbean island of Grenada. The Port George development is dramatically located across a bay from St. Georges, the capital of the island. Based around a proposed 400-berth marina the masterplan incorporates commercial, retail, leisure and residential uses, including several hotels and a range of yacht related facilities. The practice has been tasked with developing a scheme which is inherently Grenadian in character and of the highest quality in both architectural expression and landscape treatment.
